Are you interested in myofunctional therapy for your infant, but unsure of what all may be involved? The complimentary session is a window of up to 20 minutes to ask questions and get to know me and how I may be able to support you and your baby in this journey to comfortable nursing, efficient feeding and improved oral-systemic function.

Although a comprehensive assessment is necessary to determine your child’s specific needs, based on a few screening questions, we can determine if your child could benefit from a complete assessment and myofunctional therapy. I’m happy to meet with you via Telehealth, phone or in the office. 

I always begin with a comprehensive examination which takes place in the office. During this evaluation we will thoroughly dissect both mom and baby’s journey together.

We will review mom’s pregnancy and delivery history, infants medical health review, nursing concerns and oral function concerns. This is our time to do the deep dive of identifying symptoms, discussing concerns and creating goals you wish to achieve for you and your baby through the therapy process. 

An extensive intraoral examination with non-invasive functional screening assessments will take place where we will record measurements, also utilizing photos and videos to create a customized and supported myofunctional therapy program for your family.

At this appointment you will leave with a physical referral for tethered oral tissue release and we will create our treatment plan together. Through empowerment and an educational foundation, you will have the knowledge to connect your baby’s symptoms and begin to identify the why. You will become an exceptional advocate and support for yourself and your baby. Education is power.
