  • Oral Aversion Therapy: Mini Myo Program

Mini Myo Program

Children sitting at a table in a classroom, making fish faces with their lips puckered.

The Mini Myndful Myo Program is designed for children between 4 and 11 years of age that involves both the parent and child. This program can be purchased as a package of three or six 30-minute sessions as we decide what length of treatment will best suit your child and family.

This program aims to educate and provide parents with the tools to help young children address their oral myofunctional symptoms at an early stage. It also includes exercises and activities to improve nasal breathing, provide training in proper oral resting posture and address any oral aversions your child may have. I approach therapy with fun tools and interactive games to keep your child interested and engaged through dynamic play therapy.

Pediatric Myo Tethered Tissue Support

A young boy with brown hair is laughing and sticking out his tongue, crossing his arms, against a yellow background, wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse t-shirt.

This program is solely for children that require a tongue-tie release, at times accompanied by a cheek (buccal) or lip (labial) tether release. This program involves parental coaching, education and support for pre and post release. I am a passionate advocate for having basic therapy services for caregiver and child prior to the release and having a safe and comfortable foundation following the release to help assist in wound care support. This therapeutic support service involves 3- 30 minute appointments with pre-release preparation, post release wound care support and instruction and a follow up check in visit.

Oral Habit Elimination Program

A young girl with light skin and brown hair is licking her thumb.

Is your child struggling with an unhealthy oral habit, such as thumb sucking, nail-biting or prolonged pacifier use? This program is designed to help you and your child overcome these habits. This program length will be based on the frequency and duration of the habit but can range from 1 to 8 30-minute sessions.
